On Tuesday, December 3, 2024, eligible students will attend the CLEVELAND CHARGE basketball game at the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse. The CLEVELAND CHARGE are a professional basketball team and an affiliate of the CLEVELAND CAVALIERS.
We will leave Promise by 9:15 am to arrive at the Fieldhouse by 9:45 am. We will get a tour of the Fieldhouse first. Then we will meet with sports professionals who will share their career experiences, giving us information about career opportunities in the sports world.
Eligibility to participate on this fieldtrip is based on attendance from Monday, October 28 through Friday, November 22.
To be eligible, students
1. must be in school by 9:30 am every day.
2. must stay until 3:00 pm every day.
3. can have no unexcused days.
4. can have no suspensions during this time.
Only 10 students can participate.
All students who are eligible will be given a fieldtrip permission form on Friday, November 22. When you return your signed fieldtrip permission form, it will be marked with the date and time you brought it back.
On December 3, the morning of the fieldtrip, students will attend based on the order in which your permission form was received. If you are one of the first 10, and you are here when we leave, you will go.
Anyone (of the first 10) who is not here in time to leave, surrenders their ticket to the next person in line.
On the last fieldtrip, about ½ of the students eligible to go were not here when we left. So, if you aren’t 1 of the first 10 – you should come on time on December 3 because chances are some of the first 10 won’t be here on time.
